Anti-twisting system
A series of hydraulic cylinders located below the lower blade exert a counter-pressure in proportion to the cutting thickness, thus compensating for the torsion effect of the sheet metal. This counteracting action cancels out the torsion effects that depend on the geometry and characteristics of the material and the cutting parameters.

X-Cut shears are distinguished by a series of adjustable pads that keep the blade in position at all times. With the Blade Pads we support the blade crossbar along its entire length, keeping the distance between the blades at a controlled height. The system is also used to adjust the blade gap.

The backgauge can be retractable or sensorised: the former lifts up to allow the sheet metal to pass through and to be able to cut even longer pieces than the maximum stroke; the latter is an optional extra that enables so-called ‘contact cutting’, whereby sensors detect the presence of the sheet metal in position and start the cutting cycle.
