Guillotine shears

A series of hydraulic cylinders located below the lower blade exert a counter-pressure in proportion to the cutting thickness, thus compensating for the torsion effect of the sheet metal. This counteracting action cancels out the torsion effects that depend on the geometry and characteristics of the material and the cutting parameters.

X-Cut shears are distinguished by a series of adjustable pads that keep the blade in position at all times. With the Blade Pads we support the blade crossbar along its entire length, keeping the distance between the blades at a controlled height. The system is also used to adjust the blade gap.

The backgauge can be retractable or sensorised: the former lifts up to allow the sheet metal to pass through and to be able to cut even longer pieces than the maximum stroke; the latter is an optional extra that enables so-called ‘contact cutting’, whereby sensors detect the presence of the sheet metal in position and start the cutting cycle.

The sheet metal thickness meter is a laser device that automates machine set-up and reduces the risk of errors. It also has two modes of operation.

We offer different versions of sheet metal back support: Tilt to back, Tilt and drop, Tilt and front, and Front and drop. Each is matched to specific requirements.

The CNC can be of two types: Delem or Gasparini. Both CNCs manage the adjustment of the blade gap and the length of the cut, reducing the blade stroke and consequently the duration of the cutting cycle.

The bench is monolithic and milled, it is an integral part of the structure and like the latter has been dimensioned and optimised using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) methods. The front supports are clamps fixed to the bench of the guillotine shear, which can be moved as required.

Gasparini guillotine shears can be customised with a large number of accessories. With optional extras for our hydraulic shears you can increase the productivity and ergonomics of your machine for faster, more efficient and comfortable production.

The high-speed guillotine shear package is especially suitable for cutting small workpieces in large quantities, or in automated shearing lines, with high cadence and/or fast, sequential cuts. The dedicated heat exchanger for the hydraulic oil is suitable for maximum work even in hot climates.
