Traditional guillotine shears only have two guides at the ends of the blade. During shearing, strains deformate the blade, forcing it to bow away from the bench. X-Cut shears, on the other hand, stand out because of a series of adjustable supporting pads that keep the blade in position. With Blade Pads we hold the ram along its entire length, to avoid that the blade clearance may vary in an uncontrolled way. The Blade Pads system is also used to adjust blade gap.
